Dog Bite Injuries are a Hot Topic

A recent poster presentation at the Plastic Surgery Congress in Brisbane has described the rising problem of dog bite injuries. Research guided by Mr Bisson has found an increasing burden of  patients presenting to the Hutt Hospital Regional Plastic Surgery Service particularly children who often sustain injuries in difficult and cosmetically sensitive facial areas.

This is likely to be a hot topic at the up coming New Zealand Association of Plastic Surgeons Annual Scientific Meeting at Queenstown –  Aug 1st and 2nd 2015.
