Liposuction

Liposuction removes excess fat deposits to improve the shape and contour of your body. Key areas for liposuction include the tummy, thighs, hips and bottom.

In this procedure, fluid is initially injected into the area to be treated. This contains local anaesthetic to help with post operative pain and adrenaline to minimise bleeding during the procedure. Suction tubes are then passed backwards and forwards through the area removing the desired fat along with this fluid. This is often referred to as wet or tumescent liposuction.

This procedure is available at Bisson Plastic Surgery's Wellington clinic.
